Winter Player Development Academy
- Holden Youth Soccer offers a Player Development Academy in the winter for U12 players. The academy focuses on technical development through fun games and activities.
- The Player Development Academy takes players through an 8 week program that covers topics such as dribbling, passing, heading, shooting, receiving, and fundamental tactics. All of this is done through dynamic activities designed to improve player skills and teach more about the game. The PDA is for those who want to become better soccer players and take their game to a higher level through additional instruction and playing experience during the winter months.
- The academy is run by HYS's Director of Coaching, Alvaro Amaral. Alvaro is also a member of the Massachusetts Olympic Development Program coaching staff, as well Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association's instructional staff. Alvaro has run a variety of similar programs at the state level as well.
- Holden Youth Soccer tries to accommodate all who would like to play, but in the event of extraordinarily high player registrations may have to cap the enrollment based on a first come basis.
