Bringing the joy and excitement of the game of soccer to young athletes
with physical, mental, and emotional challenges...
The TopSoccer program having both fall and spring sessions, is a program for
children with physical, mental, and emotional challenges. Children who live in
the Central Mass Area, and are between the ages of 5 and 14, are eligible to
become TOPSoccer athletes.
TOPSoccer is a volunteer-driven, community-based program that brings
the game of soccer into the lives of children with physical, mental, and
emotional challenges. TOPSoccer athletes are given the opportunity to
experience, enjoy, and play the game of soccer in a modified version that is
specifically designed to help build a feeling of individual confidence and
success.
The program sessions are held for one hour per week. Volunteer groups
of trained coaches (Ages 15 & Older) serve as one-on-one facilitators to
each TOPSoccer athlete. Athletes participate in soccer-specific activities
that help them to experience a sense of personal achievement.
